Hi

I've been clearing out some of my dads fishing stuff, I've come across a pair of carp rods that just say 3.25 12.6ft but the writing for the manufacturer must have rubbed off over time. Im being told they look like Ballistas from the 90's but that was before my time. Any feedback on the rods? Are they worth a little rebuild? Not sure whether to keep them or sell them. I would put a pic up but I can't see how I can do that.

I don't remember there being a 12' 6" 3.25tc Ballista, I thought the 12' 6" was only available in 3.5tc. But I'm by no means an expert.

Pretty sure my pair of pike rods are 12ft6in Ballista's in 3.25tc. But so old no marking on the rod with the tc?

No Ballista 12ft 6 - 3.25 they are more likely to be sportex or tricast blanks which look similar but are a very different action to harrison are they an overfit or spigot ? Ballistas came out in 1991.

there very definitely were 12ft6inch 3.25 ballistas as I had some in the 90's. they were excellent rods.

Right dont remember them .Theres actually three for sale on ebay right now.

Must have been discontinued, seems only 12.6 3.5- bet they are great!

Ive been building on Harrisons for years not seen 12ft 6 3.25tc blanks, am in the factory next week will ask steve.Certainly dont produce any 12ft 6 ballistas in any tc now.

From Harrisons ring spacing guide https://harrisonrods.co.uk/Spacings.htm there was a 12-6 3.25 known as the Voyager.

I'd love a set of Harrison 'special' blanks, keep my eye on the European sales sites for just that reason

I do recall the 12ft 6 3.5 extreme i think it was called in the days of the triptych, chimera, mur and yes there was a 12ft 6 3.25 correctly named the voyager .
