but also I am shocked ? that the brilliant videos by Samir and Claire Arebi are not more widely talked about ? I can watch these pioneering adventures filmed in some of the real wild places all the time
as they are like Kevs in a class of their own a different sort of video and just magical

I do like watching them also a little off putting at first with the type of music they over layed on the videos but it seems Samir has toned it down a bit
As for Kev's videos he does them for himself personally but likes to share his exploits with other fellow anglers

Yeah Samir and Claire's vids are top drawer. I watched him on a Nash podcast the other week n'all, it went on for hours yet I was gutted when it ended.

What sets Samir and Claire's work apart for me is that they only fish big public waters.

About wild, public waters, i believe that lake in spain they fished last is visited mostly as in guided tours, so then the wild is over.
Having said that, i don't know if they use guides, looks like they aren't, and they both put in a great amount of effort, so BIG UP therefore, also for claire who seems to be working her arse off, remains a true female, but also is from the top of my mind the only female i have respect for as a carp angler. But still, with her nails polished, holding some forty, and then the usual carp lingo comes out of her mouth, it's funny.
All in all, indeed great movies, samir is an odd fellow (wew:P), they work hard at it and put out great content showing their great results, it's all very fresh and original.

Nick H's French escapades and John Timmermans are up there for me. Just a handycam and solid angling.
Sadly, I think since John moved to Nash you'll see only one or two vid's a year from him, which is a shame but personally, if I had the chance to have my tackle provided for gratis, then I'd also pack up the vlogs knowing I wouldn't have to worry about the supplies required to fish public lakes for two weeks.

You're right about the nick helleur video, although he's not really my favourite personality he makes good content. Kev Ellis is probably my favourite .

as they have now moved from the UK to to Spain
I guess they will be fishing more lakes local to them and if you watched that video ??
it certainly does not look like a commercial pay lake in any way ??
the access was unreal and choked with weed that they overcame looked pretty wild to me and of course they didnt use a guide on that trip

mainly fish public waters but of course some are pay lakes with a guide like the Morocco trip for instance as think its the ONLY way you could get to fish it I have fished that one myself
they have never ever stated they ONLY fish wild public lakes ( but thats what they do mostly )

Are we talking about the same lake, lake orellana? That's the video of them i watched.

Having said that, was in no way a dig towards the couple. Idk if they used that service (probably not since they are local now as you just stated), it's just as soon as a service as that is available the knowledge how to tackle those lakes spreads and the pioneering become less. Bit like the ebro and the lot. That's all, nothing more
Anyway, i used to fish in a somewhat similar fashion with the wife a couple of decades ago. Rent a gite, days only, one lake after another river or canal in france. Pretty rough, but i happily leave it now to people like samir and claire, who are doing absolutely great.

I wish Kev Ellis videos were in order lol, does anyone know what video it is when arg is showing Kev the ice crusher then it cuts to Kev showing the ice crusher? Always makes me laugh that
