Realised the limitations of my Sabre Everlevel Cradle last week as it was 'at its limit' with a near 40 mirror that I was lucky enough to snag . . .still rate it as its lightweight / quick and easy to assemble / dry etc but its not a big(ger) fish product.
Chap in the swim next door had a Fox inflatable in the standard size; anyone got any realworld experience with this type of product? Both Nash & Solar do something very similar but want the lightest / easiest packdown preferably with minimal faff . . .

They are great with a fish in as even the standard size is big and has great protection. But.. the pack down is huge and it's faff if you have to inflate/deflate every time. I bought it for fishing abroad and possibly towing behind the boat for the odd 3/4 night session over here. I don't bother with it to be honest and just went back to a large flat mat.

That's what I was worried about - chap with the Fox (which I like the look of as it has less valves to inflate and can be used upside down) said he left it inflated most of the time and slung on top of barrow . . .

If you have the space for keeping it inflated then I guess it can work. As far as protection and fish safety is concerned I can't see anything better. I couldn't be doing with moving a smelly camo dingy around after every overnight session
Also always the possibility of a puncture, but the bottom mat is large/good enough that it would still do a decent job deflated.

I had one a few years back, won it in a CS auction at Horseshoe. Had the same thoughts and experience, very good for fish safety but convenience and transport far from good and I got rid of quite promptly (think I donated to another raffle from memory)

I have owned and used both sizes of the original Fox ones many years ago when they were released
and the protection they give is super but they are quite heavy great for long sessions of a week or more and very well made this is the large Euro Size with a big fifty my PB of 68lb went in easy too

Fox Inflatable mats are a blast from the past .... I had one for a while .... It was ok bit of kit but bit of pain to inflate (footpump)
I've got one with the raised sides and never ever used it

I found both mine stayed inflated for a week no problem
and just needed a quick top up for the second week I only used them for long sessions would not use one for a couple of days TBH

Had the old Fox safe zone inflatable mat many years ago, same as already mentioned by Gerry I only used mine fishing abroad, swallows up the carp good protection for the fish cant remember what ever happened to it tbh I might actually get another, the Trakker self inflating XL sanctuary mat looks decent looks like it packs down smaller no need to carry a pump around.
