Got a friend who's selling his original Daiwa infinity x l d's 2.75tc. Thinking of buying them as i need bigger rods for a lake i've just joined. Does anyone still use them? Think they're about 20 plus years old but he's only used them a handful of times and they look new. Just looking for people's opinions on them to see if i should get them or not. Thanks

Great rods on their day still great of like you say mint hardly used. Only downs sides if you break one you may struggle getting a replacement, the looks and reel seat may be dated but I love them.

I quite like the looks of them to be honest, always have. He wants about £150 for the 3 so can live with it if i break one.

Only problem i found with them is the varnish whitened and peeled . Fantastic blanks.

I got 3 12ft 3.5Ib, and a 2.75Ib. They were great rods and wish todays versions were as good (haven't played with the latest version so can't comment on them). For £150 you cant go wrong.

I have 9. I managed to get three mint 3.5lb around six years ago. My 3 x 2.75 are mullered. Ferrules worn, varnish all gone.

I'll give you £300 for them Mr Frosty. Double your cash just like that, 100% ROI. 😁

Contact diawa I was told the can put new ferrule in.
The rest just adds to the old school look.
