Looking to knock up my own decent quality ground bait to compliment a milk protein bait.
Anyone have any pointers?
I know the usual vitalin/breadcrumb but want something a bit closer to the basemix and more quality over quantity.

Do you make your bait yourself?
Otherwise you can use your boiliemix and bled. It with bread crumbs....

As post 2 said use the basemix but I would add more soluble ingredients to it like lamlac, hydrolysed whey protein, calcium casinate etc to make it more attractive or use tigernut flour some egg food birdfood and again with some soluble milks in it hope this helps

If you want something closer and to compliment the boilies then you are going to need elements of the base ingredients within the ground bait as said, Lamlac and similar powders, possibly more expensive ones but would they make a difference and what sort of ratio's?
Good luck with it I spent some time many moons ago making a higher end ground bait and very effective it was, more based around Fish Meals, Tiger Nut Flour/Meal, Liver, Betaine, Cheese powders with spices, micro pellets and other stuff, it's worth pursuing and I'm not convinced it needs to be similar to the bait your using at all.
