Is it possible to catapult 15mm boilies 70 MTRS.

I only want to fire one at a time and I am getting them to about 50 MTRS with a drennan match catty

I dont think i could get them that far unless they were super dense and rock hard. and even then i bet it would be a struggle.

More then likely a throwing stick job

Standard boilies with a standard 'pult I'd say no chance... Guess there may be specialist kit available though

Not what you asked but an air bomb would do at about 45 yard clip easy enough

Have you tried a Trebuchet?

I very much doubt it tbh mate just use a throwing stick your do that easy

Try an Air bomb. Throwing stick would be the obvious option but the gulls would get three quarters of your bait unless you did it in the dark.

Where are these lakes where people can still use a throwing stick in daylight without giving away half the bait? Was my favourite way to fish, too frustrating now.

Looks like a throwing stick is the answer then. Never used one but notice AD have a Korda easi stik in stock.

Would the 20mm version get 15mm boilies out to 70mtrs ok?

Assuming you have a pet hawk to keep the gulls off, I would go for 18mm baits over 70m. Saves your shoulder giving it max welly and less likely to split.

Dip the tip of the stick in the lake every few chucks.

I thought the Korda stick was too flappy but others think it's ok. If you can find a Diem carbon stick they were decent for low money. Had a look for you but seems they are discontinued, think I got mine from Sports Direct on the cheap. Looks like Carp Spirit do a £40 carbon stick, I've found their gear to be half decent

Glad both my syndicates and most the lakes round here don't get bothered by gulls, can put a lot of bait out with a throwing stick without them being a problem

I put out about 50 baits yesterday and every single one of them reached the bottom. A group of 20 or so gulls were bobbing about 30 yards away and not a single one got up. This on a water where they usually nail you for nearly every bait..... It was very odd!!!

Some poor sod before you had probably fed them 5kg of his best bait. You can't get 3 baits out before they are on you where I fish.

Nope, I was the only angler on apart from someone feeder fishing.... Not bad on 10 acres at the start of a bank holiday weekend!!!
