Do any of the modern high capacity powerpacks had the power a 240v pump to inflate a air bed?
The Mrs wants to attempt a camping holiday with some fishing and thinking of going with a double air bed rather then two bedchairs to save on room in the car

Yeah i did consider this but might not be parked near the car.

Lets be fair If you can carry your gear or even push a barrow full of gear to a swim you should be able to use a foot pump.

I have no issue with walking a barrow with my fishing gear to a swim or using a foot pump, however with the amount of extra gear the Mrs would bring it may push me to the limit
could always get her on the foot pump i suppose.
Thanks Gerry - never seen a rechargeable one before - looks the job rather then get a air bed with a built in pump and plug

I have the black earlier version of the Coleman Rechargeable QuickPump
been going strong for donkeys years used it to inflate my Euro sized unhooking mat my inflatable boat my inflatable caravan awning list goes on and on
a brilliant investment

I use a rechargeable pump from Amazon. I bet you would get several ‘inflations' from one charge.

I beg to differ.
Right now I need a hip replacement.
There is absolutely no way I can use a footpump to pump up a barrow wheel or airbed.
I can push a barrow slowly and have to stop a few times just walking 200metres.
I didn't put my barrow in the car this week and when I got to the lake discovered that the high meadow was waterlogged and any cars would sink in the mud. It took me 6trips to carry my gear to the swim 250metres.
Even worse, I had to be towed out by a mate with his 4wd Discovery.

This thread has got me thinking, there has to be a market for a high quality punctureproof air bed for those who like to travel light. The camping ones are just garbage and leak after a few uses, but a good reliable one would be great combined with a lightweight bag.

is very puncture resistant
but very few people would want to be just a few inches off the ground IMO
THE one you linked too you still got to add a mattress to it ?
