Seems like it's an utter minefield, with a vast array of options - I want to effectively work from the bank so looking for opinions from those of you who keep a laptop running for two days plus. My machine requires 96W via USB-C. Thanks in advance.

Jackery do a 2000 model that should supply 96W for around 21 hours. ( assuming their figures are correct). On offer at £1999.
If you need 96W for 2 x 8 hour days then that is almost 1600 Wh
96 W x 2 x 8h= 1536Wh
Surely the 96 W is charging power not what the lap top consumes or requires per hour?
You need to find out what your machine consumes per hour then you can easily work out what size power pack you need

Thanks. 96W is the charging power, you're right.
I'd say that the machine would last at least 8-10 hours on a full charge, so I might need to charge it twice over the course of a few days. I am trying to figure out power consumption per hour - but that's not quite so easy.

I've read that the 16 inch Mac book has a 100 Wh battery if that's correct. It might tell you on your machine or paperwork?
Then for two charges I would guess you would need something with an absolute minimum of 250 Wh to allow for some efficiency losses.

I have a 13" Pro that gets a full 2 charges from the Powapacs Atom, there's a new one out not which is bigger. I wanted something small & wouldn't need more than 2 full charges on it.
For anything larger I'd be looking at Anker or Jackery & you're probably looking at around £500 for a decent one that'll give you 5 or 6 full charges.

Have you looked at the carplounge....lounge boxes? Surely there's something in there range that will give you the power you need👍🏻

I used a renogy 100ah lithium ion battery, with a mains inverter - honestly I used my MacBook for 2 whole days with that thing, and it was fine.

Anker 737 recommended though if you need to charge a few times may need to buy a couple they are around £140 from Amazon.
With 100W PD I would want a good quality power bank manufacturer and not a cheap unknown brand - else all may go up in smoke literally ! Anker fit that remit.
It really depends on how intensive your usage is and the applications used.

Just after lockdown my mate worked from the bank for a couple of weeks and kept his laptop charged with an atom and solar panel, he would charge his laptop overnight from the atom, and then during the day work off the laptop battery whilst charging the atom via the solar panel, and repeat....

Unless you want to have a few smaller ones, I think realistically you need to choose between the Anker 521 @ 256Wh or the Jackery 240 @240 Wh. Both of which have good reviews. I believe Anker is Chinese owned and I expect the Jackery will be also be made in china in spite of the head office being across the pond.
Alternatively you could chance the much cheaper one you linked to which has very poor reviews.
Difficult choice.
Also bear in mind you can always add another if you want more capacity to stay longer rather than go bigger from the start. Price seems generally in line with capacity.
