hi like to support my local tackle shop and they stock the Hearn mk2 landing net. Question is the Chris brown net much better and worth a shout or is the difference between it and the esp Hearn net small? Ta

If you buy a Chris Brown net that will be the last net you need to buy. They are superb and I only have the glass fibre one.

I've got several nets for different uses including a CB and two of the latest hearn ones as well as the quickdraw one. All good nets and will be keeping the CB and one hearn .

Whilst I'm sure the TH net is a great bit of kit, The CB nets are extremely well made and you would be supporting a small UK based producer.

Both will do a great job.
CB - robust - last a lifetime barr accidents - certainly not heavy in the hand, but not super light - cult classic
TH - Slimmer - neater - mostly matt - visually more appealing if thats your thing - little lighter in the hand

All personal opinion, the CB glass net is probably the most robust net and a good value for money bit of kit. The carbon CB is about the same price as the hearn choosing as said is personal opinion but I preferred the hearn hence why I bought two but also bought the quickdraw for ease of transport and will be sell one hearn and keeping one with a glass CB.
The glass net takes a lot of abuse that I wouldn't subject any carbon one too and if I only had one net it's probably the one I would keep. If looking purely for carbon I prefer the hearn to previous nets I've owned from century,free spirit,matrix ,and think it's every bit as good as a mates dymag without the price tag..
