Has anyone had bothnthat can compare? Not on aesthetics as that's personal choice but is the whisker less of a reel?

Original castizm is better reel. My mate has the whiskers and they dont feel as near as well made as my castizms. Theres a video on youtube of someone comparing them side by side and they say the same. All the modern reels seem inferior to there older original equivalent these days. To much plastic parts inside now to save on weight which everyone seems obsessed with these days which ive never understood as the reels are sat on a pod or banksticks 99% of there life. I can understand weight saving in a fly reel as its in your hand all day but defo not a carp reel.

Had the original cast'izms and just didn't like them, no idea why and they were too blingy with the shiny spool and sold them after 2 sessions. Replaced them with xtd 5500's from memory and now have the whiskers which i really like. Lovely and smooth and fit perfectly on my scopes.

I love a bit of bling. I cant stand these all black reels that are in fashion these days.

I've got a pair of Whiskers, only used them a couple of times and really like them so far. Can't compare to Castizms but have had GS4000's and SS2600's and they are leaps ahead of them, but then so is the price.

I think the older reels are superior to the modern day reels not inferior,the older reels were built far better with stronger internals.

Never seen the fox reel. There similar size to 5500 ultegras. There a mini big pit, perfect size just about everything.

Also had most reels on the market, and now on the Castizm's, if you can find a nice set...buy them.
They are really great, cant comment on the Whisker's..but dont like the new colours and handle...
