once I heard the "coronation street" theme tune,
I spoke to the fella the next day and he confessed to being a major long term fan, he watched it all week whenever it was on, on one of those old portable mini tvs with a radio and cassette player all in one.

Listening to a lad I no talk to another angler ( who was part drunk ) about these eggs he'd found in a tuft of grass convinced they were a rare bird. Little did he know they were sucked mini eggs I'd done until they went white and speckled and left them there.

Had me laughing for hours

Who remembers the old Apotheosis bivvys?..

Number one rule, never forget to turn torch or bivvy light off ,when holding old skool mag in one hand..

Rule number 2,make no 'happy noise '...

Number one and two ,seen, fully noted .!!!!....and the perpetrator reminded of his actions. 😂

A long long time ago, mid Winter and late at night, I watched the end of a film on the DVD player and had "nipped" a dump for the last 20 minutes. When the film finished, I was that desperate I left the DVD playing as the credits rolled, I got out of the sleeping bag and sat on bucket in front of my bivvy in total peace and quiet admiring all the frost on the bank.

Then all of a sudden from the back of my bivvy was a great roar of a lion, my hair stood on end, and then it roared again and I nearly cacked myself in fright. Then reality sunk in having stood up and getting my pants pulled up fast. It was that damm lion at the end of a Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer film. It had not helped really as their had been reports of a big cat in the area over the years so nerves were always jangling on a night when you heard something unusual.

Nazeing Meads was amusing, one of the staff from Johnson Ross was caught watching downloads in their car. For a while it was known as Johnson Toss...

I recall a certain well known carp angler, getting caught in his bivvy with a blow up doll!
and then claimed he had bought it to play a joke on another well known carp angler, and just wanted to see what it looked like when inflated.
Are you sure?

This action cannot be undone.
