I had a mate ring me and said there was a brilliant history of one of the most sought after genuine English Carp the Legendary Tolpits Plodder Its in the Dec edition out now
a true warrior carp and I had the absolute privilege to be the first one to catch her over the magical 50 pound mark ((profile pic )) in November 2007 and the SPOOKY !! way it panned out is detailed in there
and they didnt use my profile they used a different shot but you will have to get the mag to find out
Im not sure who wrote it ? in fact the article is not even listed in the index either ?? I think the talented top angler James Turner may have had a hand in writing it ? just dont know ??? its a great read of the history of that wonderful fish sadly no longer with us
its called Special Carp They don`t make them like that anymore and starts on page 18 if your gonna read it in Tesco

Exactly that, fish you can only dream about catching in a lot of cases, they were the survivors at the time. One of the reasons I love TH, DL and JS books as they chase and capture these special fish and their little stories of their personal pursuit is enjoyable reading for me
And here we are now in a world of instant anglers and instant fish, just add water

I think It was friday 9th November 2007 I caught Plodder with the MASSIVE tail that nobody`s mentioned you can see clearly how huge it was in the pictures
I was told the estimated age was 47 years but not confirmed it by anyone
