Good evening.
I thought it would be interesting to ask if you had the ability to use any individual fish product regardless of cost or availability which would you use and why?
Thanks Tom.

L030.
I used to buy it in 20kg (or25) drums around 2000. As many will attest, nothing comes close. Human grade stuff, used for sauces and what have you, absolutely amazing. I always used to laugh at guys going on about aminol, hehehehe, that's just fertilizer:P That doesn't mean it's bad, but no comparison.
Truth be told, when i could no longer source that product my catch rate fell dramatically. Yup, that's the one for me:XD

Red Boat fish sauce.
Watching the reaction added into a basic carrier mix at 50ml per kg and 20ml on thawing, was quite a eye opener.

Being human grade it had a best before date at least, but it was used up long before that. It does cristalize i remember, and being extremely salty (in a pleasant way) i don't think it goes off. Nutrients deteriorate over time, but i guess that's it.

Buy base mixes and flavours from John Baker and call him to discuss your needs before your press buy as you may change what you think you need.....
Undeniable quality, possibly the best you could buy from one of the pioneers of modern carp fishing baits and great advice.
