Looking at this mat and see that they've obviously updated their older version and now it's also significantly more expensive at around £115. Anyone using it got a review?

Good mat but not worth that money imo,take a look at Born n Bred their mat with poly balls added is a very good mat.

As below have said, a good well padded mat, but not worth the money, if you can find one second hand then get it, otherwise you can probably get one thats just as good for roughly half the price!

Paid £80 for mine which is the same as the original as far as I can tell except it's camo as that's all they had in stock.personaly I don't rate it as highly as the Cotswold MK2 but that has also gone up a lot since I had mine.

I have used one for some years now - cost me £70 quid back then.
i does the job but it is rather bulky. Thinking Anglers replaced the outer part because the stitching tore the material around the clip that holds the mat together when folded - the service I got from Thinking Anglers was top class. I then bought two straps to use around the mat and I clip the carrying strap onto these straps . So all in all when the mat is on the ground it does the job expected, but I don't think the design is strong enough if you want to carry tackle and stuff in the mat. I almost always carry my tackle from the car to the swim and as said the mat i bulky. Fine if it went on top of a barrow. I will definitely look for something more compact when I have to replace it.

I found it bulky but liked the polyballs as the fish just seem to sink into it.I then ordered the Born n Bred mat and asked for polyballs to be put in,they did this and the mat is quality and really well made.

Best mat I've used. It's well padded and fish sink into it, they seem to find it hard to get momentum to flap.

Trouble is I really fancy this mat but I am worried that there are so many lakes rules that you have to use a cradle mat I don't want to buy twice
