Hi everyone.
I am looking to get one of there for my next barrow and just wanted some advice from people who own these. What are the pros and cons of each?
I am edging towards the mk2 Tri Porter as been told the big boy version with the wider wheels is a bit of a nightmare in the mud.

Cant speak for the mk2 triporter but i own the big boy triporter and its fantastic. 100% stable and strong enough to take all the gear you could ever need in 1 trip. I fitted mine with power conversion from global angling products and even with 100kg+ worth of gear can one hand operate it up hill. Best money I've ever spent(but i am old and lazy😂😂

thicker wheels help stability no end, still cant for the life of me see why prestige put small wheels on the power porters

Exactly this. Big fat wheels are fine on solid ground but in sloppy wet mud they will basically float and wheel spin. A narrower tyre will cut through the soft stuff to get some purchase on the gravel or track below.

Apparently same with cars
soft sand = wide tyre
mud = narrow tyre

I had the big boy for a while .... Its a monster, very heavy and I wasnt keen on the handle arrangement and only really any good on flat paths imo and even then will need to keep correcting direction ... I went back to a MK4s single wheel model (suspension and wide wheel) .... it may not carry as much but its infinitely easier and more versatile over various grounds to use imo
