Got a bit of an issue with my bedchair, when I put weight on certain legs they slide down. Mainly the two by my feet, any ideas how I could fix this? Looks like a spring system but not sure

AS posted below MAKE &MODEL different makes have different locking legs
so will have different fixes

My fox duralite was terrible for this, put some eazigrip on the legs which is designed for stopping screwdriver heads slipping in worn screws, it worked for a bit then started slipping again, tried roughing up the area with a file, this didn't work, got rid of it and will never buy fox again due to other issues,
Got a solar one now and the quality is ten fold in comparison, no leg slipping issues at all and a lot comfier...

Say no more.
I got a Sonik Sk tec recliner armchair.
The springs on the legs don't hold the legs extended when any weight goes on them. It is basically only any good on firm level ground.

If you can't make it work as it should be then could you drill holes through the legs and use “ R” clips to take the weight?

I had this problem on a bed and I took the mechanism apart and flipped over the metal plate with the hole through it the leg passes through and it solved the problem.
When I looked at the plate, it looked like the edge on the drilled circle the leg passes through had become rounded so it was not biting into the leg. The opposite side was squared and bites into the leg better. Maybe if I had filed the rounded part square again it would have worked or just got some steel plate off Ebay and made some more of these "locking washers" or whatever they are called would also have worked.
At the moment I have a Sonik ELS bed for maybe the past 3 years and occasionally it slips but, I now just give the locking lever a tap with my hand to make it bite better into the leg and it resolved the problem.
