Gents, I'm going to try chopped worm and cockles as a single and recall Solar (?) marketing some kind of bait cage thingy you could hair rig. I've no idea what it was called let alone if it's still available so what would I go for instead?
Mesh bag of some sort I imagine, net curtain material as I'm damned if I'm away to buy a packet of tights. Anybody made similar?
I'm thinking, cut a circle of material, place bait in,crimp up and tie off with mono before trimming neat and threading on the hair. This sounds really fiddly and messy, can anyone suggest another option?
Edit: I've ordered a pack of the Enterprise version from ebay but any other suggestions are welcome.

Fox do a product on a tube similar to PVA but a soft plastic mesh, cant think of the name right now but I have caught using it where crays are present with bags of crumb/corn on a hair.

Cheers all, the 'mesh might be more open than I'd like but let's have a look at what turns up.
I'll look out for arma mesh. 👍

I think the bait cages will retain the bait they expand to get them in the opening which from memory is around 8mm the square openings are about 3mm the chopped worm in still water will retain in flowing it might wash out if too small, Bit of lippy on and a few minutes embarrassment in a shop selecting the right shade of white and sheerness tights is probably the best bet. Fox Arma mesh is good but you'll be paying the carp tax.

Yes, Solar Jail Baits! I think I still have some in the garage from years ago.
I think the gaps in the cage would be too big, and the ends of those clear plastic enterprise ones are even bigger.
I'd try Arma Mesh personally

Sorry, you might have to bite the bullet.

Armormesh is quite open, large holes, whereas the tights are normally close, unless using fishnets...

Personally, get a pair of tights, talk to your girlfriend nicely, get a pair of hers, or get her to buy them for you, or order online.

If the holes are too big,you can just double wrap it
