Looking for 25kg of pellets, after looking at aller aqua, skretting & coppers, I'm totally confused.
What are you currently using and why?

Not used aller aqua but I'd pick skrettings over coppens every time. The only time I've ever had coppens they just weren't quite right.

Are you looking at carp or trout pellet?
To be honest you won't go wrong with any of them as brands. There is plenty of types of pellet to choose from, personally I like the skretting trout elite for warmer weather. Never had any aller aqua but heard good things.

I'd only use alla's now.. quality and the price is right if you know someone who can get commercial prices.
I'm using aqua as that's what the fish in our syndicate are fed...they take on Hydros very well too...£30 a sack so just over £1 per Kg.......

I will have some very very good pellets in about ten days time.
There will be no need to add any oil! 😉

What do you want them for? Adding to a spod mix? Soaking up liquid attractors? Catapulting as loose feed? Also what time of year? And how many would you be using?
Those are all questions which can serve to narrow the selection for you.
Generally, low oil cheap carp / coarse pellets are idea to soak up liquids, with skretting being good, however coppens produce a “premium” version with a decent degree of “water stability” I.e meaning doesn't dissolve so fast so there is more later for the carp to compete for.
High oil pellets are obviously an item to think about using in the warmer months and not in huge amounts, and also not one thst stores particularly well.
If you use few pellets and don't wish for a full sack it would be worth asking the vendor ( if not buying where it's already displayed ) for a best before date. Stale pellets are a shadow of their fresh version.
I like a medium oil pellet personally as if I use them they usually form a large proportion of a baiting strategy.
If the light colour of carp pellets puts you off you can always dye them / adding different off tge shelf products like thin molasses, hydros or gravy browning granules dissolved in fish sauce is one thst match boys use.

I'm using as loose feed, catapulting out.
25kg will be plenty for the mo & will see me through to autumn. I'm not really looking to dose them with liquid additives.

Then personally I reccomend you look for a protein content of around 30% and keep the oil content under 12/15%, if you need them oilier fish oil can be added but not taken out.
All tge previously mentioned brands produce nice pellets

Trout or Halibuts from Skrettings, they have worked for years, especially in the warmer conditions.
In cooler temperatures I use compressed pellets.
