Has anyone used either of these and can recommend one or the other or give me any feedback on how they found them ?
Fishing a large lake in France later this year and you are not allowed to leave H blocks out. I have a Deeper Chirp so will be able to get a rough idea of where im fishing but if I want to create a bed or constantly fish to the same spot im not sure I have many alternatives ?
Baits will be boated out either with bait boat or actual boat due to distance, I haven't ever used yard sticks and also dont think they would work for this scenario, if I place a bait by hand on the boat then I will be taking the rod out with me.

I had some years ago before they were available here bought them direct from Daniel the guy who made them they are the dogs undercarriage
and the fish love em !! could always tell when the fish moved in on my spot as the carp love rubbing themselves on the poles you see them waving around and if you get a hooked fish they just lay over without issue

Find your sub surface spots using the deeper on the bait boatb or row boat. Mark the distance if you can, and drop a small temporary marker.
Take the rod out and then you drop a rod on the spot then take it back to the bank and mark the line so you have the distance set.
Wrap it up on the bank to know the distance, then you can skyline markers to send the boat out and use a deeper attached to the boat to let you know when you have gone over the spots.
The deeper should also show up any sub surface features you're fishing to.

I have used the Atropa tube markers and can only echo what old geezer has said.
They are an awesome product but just make sure you use enough weight to weigh them down to prevent them moving around, surprising how much weight they need to keep them in place.

Like this Gerry had them on me a few weeks ago
Which ever ones you buy do not leave them out on the bank in direct sunlight they'll bend like bananas
EDIT: Avid brought some out a while ago they were US a mate of mine bought a few went out put them just beyond his spots in the evening went to bed woke up no sign of them, they filled with water listed over and lay on a shallow angle across the lake bed, avoid them or if you see anyone advertising them.

Thank you 👍🏽 I did wonder if I would be able to pick any used ones up as they are likely just used once and then not needed by some people.
Not the sort of thing you see for sale though, likely lots just in lofts / sheds not being used etc!

Thank you, they come with a 2lb weight I believe.

RE weights what I did was to buy a couple of small cheap 1.25kg cast iron dumbell weights put an eyed bolt with penny washers in them and they never moved ever
and as Ian says they bend easy in sunlight so I stored mine in a section of plastic drainpipe

I set one up at 550m range on the big pit, one foot under the surface with reflective 3M tape glued around the tip for at night. Green tape so it did not show up well to a boater in the day. An active sailing club means no markers can be used, as they just pull them straight up... But the Atropa worked a treat! Left it there for the whole year and no sausage ever knew! Carpers or boaters.
