I'm torn between these for a new set of rods.
Need something that is comfortable at 100-125yrds but not poker stiff for a nice little club lake where 30-50yrds is norm.
Also undecided on 3.25 or 3.5
Advice from those who have either appreciated!

'Only got the 2.75lb TC E Class.
Light and slim. Progressive - through action (for modern times anyway).
Heavier than stated TC, IMO - I feel comfortable wacking out 3 ounze leads with it.
Heard on here that the newer ES blanks changed, and heard comments of them being 'stiff' 'sloppy' .
I love the blank because I prefer through action rods.
Not a full out casting rod IMO, and the 3.25 must take some compressing I would imagine if the blank is the same.
Also check out the TackleBox CFX 3.25. Had a play in the shop of the 2.75lb and they are lovely.

I spoke to Tackle Box this morning and I'm going to try to get over there sometime to try a few rods out. They suggested either the E-Class Gold or their CFX rods.

I have 3.25 S lite with full cork handles. They're lovely rods, not stiff at all but enough poke to put out a pva bag.

Higher rated e class are broom handles whilst the s lites could not be more different. I have some 3.5's and their lovely for playing fish on.

Because I'm fishing more and more venues where it's very useful to have that in the locker. I'm improving my casting technique but having rods that are better suited to it will help a bit.
Probably I'd want a set for the club lake and a set for these new venues I'm fishing but I'd like to find a set of 3 that might cover both OK.

Looking at price of s lites I'd look at the esp hearns 12ft 3.25tc.

Used E Class Gold in 3.5 last week. Had fish in a RH marjin no more than 15 yards put and also 3oz leads in a Small PVA bag at 110 yds. Deffo could of gone more if needed lovely to play on, had 15 fish to 26lbs lovely to play on and very nice under the tip, lake was weedy and they gave me plenty of stopping power too.
S lite - not much in it between the 2.
Go test them both out, i recently wanted new rods, checked out lots of options and asked a few questions on here, had a play abput and ended up woth off the shelf Daiwa Infinity in 3.75 tc!
