Sorry for bombarding this section with questions, but after being away from fishing for some time things seem to if moved on in terms of tech and now I'm using my own money to buy certain items I want to get it right!
I have been looking at alarms, reading reviews and watching videos, I can't work out what Alarms to buy!
Ive NEVER owned Delkim alarms and I see the have a new model out since I gave up. Is the new model that much different to the old model? Is it better? I have also never had Fox Alarms, The RX+ looks a good alarm, has anyone used it?
I know there are a whole heap of extras for the Delks but I can't see me using any of them, maybe the snag ears but that's about it.
Has anyone used the new Delks vs. the old? How did you find them? Did you prefer the old or the new?
I was using Nash Alarms, not through choice, I never had an issue with them but id prefer not to go down the Nash route again.
I'm thinking Delks (old or new) or Fox.
I need them to have a very loud receiver, bright LED at night when you get a run, ideally quite a bright light on the receiver, the receiver to stand up, perfirm in all weather including sub zero temps.
Ive seen allot if good things about the ND alarms, but I just can't get my head around the brand yet! Also, I don't want things to gimmicky.
I love the romance of the E.C.U alarm or even the Nevilles but they just are not for me.
As always any input is greatly received

Have a look at Fox Mx Alarms, these are excellent value for money. I had Delkims before and havent looked back. They come with loads of features like LED colour Changeable, 2 sensitivity settings, 6 different Tones. Rrp is around 250 for 3 but shop around i got some for £220 on a deal.
You will get swamped with opinions but Fox have been renown for Alarms from past 20 years.

Worth checking out your local Facebook Marketplace for some TXI+. Far simpler to use than the new TXI-d and a set of 3+1 can be had for around 250-300.

If you're interested in the Delkim but don't buy them now you will sell whatever you do and try them at some point. I know I did the same with older Fox, ATTS and Nevis. My advice would be to just get them if you fancy them and have the budget. I have the older TXI+ and mine have always been fine, I bought new when they were current, but wouldn't buy a set 2nd hand as others do seem to have trouble.
I've just bought a set of Fox mini micron x for another set up. Haven't used them yet but feature wise can't see any advantage to spending the extra on the RX+?

With those 2 top end alarms it is down to personal preference more than anything else. Both are very good. My personal preference is Fox alarms but have lots of friends who have Delks and swear by them. All I would say is avoid the ND alarms, if you search you will see as much if not more bad reviews than good

If you need a very loud receiver I would suggest that you get one with vibrate mode so as not to disturb other in the night.

Surely ? your receiver will be right next to your head inside your bivvy so its never gonna get wet even ?
in the day my receiver is on a lanyard round my neck if its raining its inside my coat
