Afternoon all

Currently fishing & today have had 2 weird occurrences,fishing in and around some low laying weed using 10 inch semi stiff esp booms into spinner rigs on lead clips,I've had the bobbin going up and down and pulling out of the clip to hit into it for nothing to be on the end ? Anyone got any ideas what could be happening ?

Any advice much appreciated

Fish going underneath your Mainline and catching on the dorsal fin is a possibility, even more so if your line is running over the weed.

Birds?

Bream spawning?

Defo no birds infront of me at them points,can't see it being fish under neath but possible,I'm fishing 15 yards out on the end of a big SW,is the rig an issue maybe ? Tied up 3 solid bags but again I worry casting them into weed,just put 3 new hooks on sent them out with foam nuggets

Fishing in 4 foot of water very little bream in here if any

A fish trailing line by the sounds of it

It happens a lot on the lake that I fish, very annoying to hit a screamer and nothing there day or night, and every now and then you manage to hook an eel usually hooked in its flank. They eat anything. Lake is full of the blighters up to about 5lb.

Agree with this. I've encountered a few in the past and this is exactly what you get. Start of a full blown run and hit in to nothing. They can feed so delicately and just take the bait not the hook and when you lift in to it you pull it outside it's mouth.

Apparently a fish is carrying a trailer at the moment jusr weird it picked me up 3 times if so lol

It's actually quite normal, if it's hanging around the area and has a fair length of line attached it stands to reason it will happen more than once
