What sort of range can you get with a baiting spoon on a long pole? I'm baiting particles, 6mm pellets, tigers, and flaked maize with a spomb at about 25 yards but it's a chore.

Don't think flaked maize will go too far with a spoon. Everything else should be OK, as long as you separate it all out. If you have small and large items mixed, the larger items will go far and the small ones will be closer. Surely a catapult is better for the larger items?

If you have time on your hands soak it with vitalin and ball it up, then you can just throw the balls in. I usually soak a few bits and pellets with crumb and you can ball that up and throw it or catapult it ..

I would not put a baiting spool on a landing net handle.
A long handle is only about 30 and built for the job.

. . .if you've never used a baiting spoon on a landing net handle I would suggest you 'practice' first when no one else is about and in an area you're not serious about baiting 'effectively'. Trust me its not easy and you will look stupid! Takes some time to master IME from creating the right sized balls at the right consistency - I reckon you can pole vault baits to 50/60yds max; however at 25yds I'd be using a strong catapult with a dedicated ground bait ball pouch . . .alternatively create a monster DIY spod from a drinks bottle . . . better still cheat and use a bait boat!
