Somewhere I fish ,is now looking like the water is drinking chocolate, essentially it's tadpole time,zillions of them..
The carp have gone mad for them,my lovingly placed hookbaits not even a sniff...splendid isolation!
I can't remember such as massive explosion of tadpoles like this year..

ffs, my water always swiches off for me when the tadpoles are about, and for the last couple of days, the water is slightly tinged, and co insiding with the bream spawning all friday night meant a sleepless night for me and another flipping blank.
what i dont understand is that i gather the tadpoles have a toxin that makes them taste nasty.....but the fish eat them?

I've been hammering them out on black zigs at my local club water.
