I bought some rear wheels for my carp porter a few years ago but they were so smelly i dumped them in the garden shed. I would like to try to use them but as i leave my barrow in the car the pong gets too much.

Leaving them in the sun for a while to encourage the volatile compounds to “air” off will probably help. Make sure the pressure is not too high though. It will increase when warm so perhaps keep a check on it for the first time.
Your car will be hotter than your shed so that's when most of these compounds are being released.
Leaving it in the car for long periods is not a good idea as some of these gasses can be toxic / carcinogenic.

Rub half a bottle of krill compound in to each .
Give it 48 hours and the rubber smell will be gone

Never heard of Chinese rubber is that a superior brand ? always a problem with natural rubber try washing them with soapy water and add some white vinegar, baking soda or anything with lemon that'll cure it.

Neat Fairy Liquid Platinum brushed into them and rinsed off seems to have worked. Also they now have a shine which makes me think there was a coating on them.
