Just set myself up with 2 3/4 tc rods and and now thinking g of a spod and marker now am I better getting the dedicated hybrid spod and marker or just getting a 3.5 tc rod the same as my other rods

Depends, on how far you will be fishing, what size/weight spod/spomb will you be using etc, what will you be baiting with partical/ boilies.

There is another question as well, do you want, or need, a dedicated rod for marker work, and one for spodding to the marker?
If one rod for both will suffice, then I can say the sonik vader x s&m is OK
(angling direct link, so shop around)
It is what I use, basically I lead or dig around with the marker, clip up, then swap over to the spod or Spomb.
I would not go any bigger than the Midi xl Spomb though.
If you want to use a bigger spod or Spomb then I would recommend a heavier tc spod rod, so a specific marker rod might be in order.

Assuming but maybe wrong you won't be fishing at range with 2.75tc rods? If this is the case you could just bait up with a throwing stick, catapult or use small spod/spomb on existing or heavier tc rod.

I can recommend the spomb LR rod, good all round rod to be fair

I have the darenth valley spod,device & marker rod it's only 10' but great for my needs and cheap too

I invested in a FS S-Lite SPM - its 13ft and casts further than any of my other current rods and can take both small and large loaded spombs / 4oz+ leads no probs - ditched the separate marker and spod and have never looked back - simple loop on the end of the leader braid and you can switch from deeper to bare lead to marker to spomb in seconds
