If I freeze casters, when they thaw out will they float?
Sorry for the stupid question 😂😂

Fresh caster frozen live there will normally be a few that float but the vast majority won't.

Either way I'd say that they are a bit of a waste of money unless you use them fresh. They are still alive when fresh, even if they don't move and giving off whatever they give off. Same with all natural baits.

I don't like using frozen casters, they seem to smell sour.

A bait that I think is far better fresh

Floating casters do have their uses though, especially if the carp take surface baits.

Yes you will be much better off with fresh casters.

Most bait is best used fresh and would be my choice whenever possible, even boilies I no longer buy in bulk as I can buy freshly rolled fairly locally at short notice.
