I was extremely pleased to see on the news that the last member, still alive or not found guilty of the despicable jihadist torture and execution squad, El Shafee Elsheikh will now rot in a US jail for life
A few monkeys from the frozen north will remember one of their victims carp angler, hero and all around nice guy Alan Henning. Kidnapped tortured and murdered whilst driving from Manchester to deliver aid to the needy in a war torn faraway land.
Some may remember him as Gadjet, whom I had the pleasure of meetings up at Sale several times and plenty of laugh's on the old forums.

Understandable. He'll never walk outside US prison walls til he dies. Might as well be dead Goose, it's what sets us apart from the shyte you scrape off your shoe.

Jail is justice in the real world. If you believe, as you clearly do it isn't, you'll never be satisfied with sentences given out by a court of law for the most heinous crimes. Grandstanding post's belittling this sentence for someone I knew piss me off.

Well said mate. Sorry for your loss. As you say, we have to trust in more civilised processes - and they will let us down at times, but the alternative is to sink to levels that are unacceptable

Over sixty years since the death sentence was abolished and the crime rate has rocketed, many have served a so called life sentence only to be released early and some reoffend. Statistics prove the rehabilition policy hasn't worked in a huge amount of cases. Terrorist that kill, pedophiles that rape and murder kids don't deserve to be in our prisons in my opinion, execute and buried in an unmarked grave.

No mate not offended, it's an understandable view that I share at times. But if you can't kill them on the battlefield, my view is hunt them down, face the courts and lock them up forever. Cheers anyway
