I've just bought some korda quick change swivels for the first time. I've had a look at the open "quick change" end and the gap to me seems surprisingly open to me. What is stopping rigs slipping from where it is attached to the mainline?

Put a bit of silicon or an anti tangle sleeve over the open bit, then pull it back to change the rig.

This has your hook link through it, a simple loop knot on your hook link allows you to change the rig as required.

All the QC swivels except Ridgemonkey rip sleeves when you change hooklinks because the crook is pointing outwards - the RM ones are the only ones I've found that are different and you can slide sleeves on and off multiple times.

Little tip, squeeze hard on the wife end of the anti tangle sleeve when you do it, sounds counter productive but it twists and flattens the quick change crook to be parallel with the flat of your thumb and simultaneously flattened and widens the sleeve, they then slip off lovely. I can honestly say I've not experienced any tearing for ages

I've been using them for years and never had that happen and don't recall any mates mention it.

Just making sure I use ESP streamliner rig sleeves over the QC I find the bore a little larger than most rig sleeves and will sit over the bottom part of the barrel on the swivel also helps when slipping them back off as it doesn't catch the out turned part of the gate on the crook.

Absolutely wound me up until I found the RM ones. Maybe it's the sleeves I use, who knows. Could never get them off more than a couple of times without tearing - I mainly Barbel fish though and I'll cast 10-30 times in a 24hr session, I usually slide a stick down the hooklink on every cast so they're on and off a lot more than when Carping.
