Looking through some of the previous threads on the subject the drennan boilie pult gets good reviews . I have one of the jag catapults with various elastics and pouches but really can't get on with it . I appreciate that whatever catapult I get I'm going to need to change the elastics from time to time . So I'm looking for something that is easy to use and accurate up to say 40 yards or so with 4/5 baits at a time . Ideally not changing the elastic every 5 mins and reasonably easy to change the elastic (even with cold hands). I know I'm asking a lot but is the Drennan boilie pult still the one , thanks?

The korda ones are quite good to be fair.
The drennan one has changed now, green with plastic frame as opposed to metal, and the elastics dont last as long.

Thanks Mozzi. I'm pretty sure that I have somewhere but not sure where quite possibly a Drennan boilie pult from about 20 years ago. If memory serves it was the same shape but with metal arms , maroon / red elastic with possibly Drennan down the front of the handle . Pretty sure though it had a plastic cup instead of a pouch . Does this sound right anyone , would these have been about 20/25 years ago ? Having said that , if this is an old metal one by the time I've bought new elastic and pouch it would possibly be cheaper to buy a new one , thanks 👍

Thanks for that . I'm pretty sure I have the old sort somewhere, although I haven't seen it in years 🤣 It definitely had a different one boilie plastic cup though . Does anyone know whether you can still get spare elastics and pouches - assuming the new fit the old , thanks ?

Dont think you can go wrong with a Drennan feeder pult for close to medium range work. Pouch is slightly on the small size for five baits at a time. Three at a push. But I suppose you could always put a larger pouch on. But have to say and have used both the ESP Mega pult comes a close second.

It was a very small pouch / cup and probably only big enough for one 18 miller.

Just want something that's going to put 4/6 baits out to 40/50 yards accurately without changing components every five minutes, thanks 👍

I use atomic catapult at that range with a big pouch can do 4 - 10 baits at that range . I think a lot of it is the size of the pouch really , ive got the same type of catapult with a smaller pouch to do single boilies at greater range.
edit Sorry i should add its a pain to change the elastic on an atomic catty, but at least they stay put once put on...

I remember one called a whopper dropper for putting goundbait balls out, if hate to guess but that could be 25-30 years ago.
