I'm in the market for a new sleeping bag as mine has been ripped (me on a swift exit in the night).
I'm looking for bag to cover Spring/Summer/Autumn really as I rarely night fish in winter and do have a bedchair cover if I do go!
Doesn't need to be a fishing branded one as I'm not planning to attach it to the bedchair anymore like the previous one.

Probably a bit left field for a fishing site, but I quite fancy giving the Snugpak Navigator a go as a summer bag. It's got a comfort rating of -2C, which I'll treat with a pinch of salt, but with a Gardner cover should be OK. It's only 800mm wide, same as my bed, and the same as the Fox bag to suit my bed, but may be a bit narrow for some. At under £40 it's not the end of the world if it doesn't work out.

My summer/autumn bag is the Navigator too, I tend to just unzip it and use it like a duvet under a Fox Ventec cover. Not overly big but not too heavy either.
Personally I'd be very wary of Snugpaks temperature ratings though...I once spent a very cold night in one of their jungle bags... fully clothed in a proper bivvy bag, in July in the Peak District. Never again.

Snugpak Fortis, use it all year round and it has a removeable top layer for warmer months.

I have changed to a trakker duotexx sleeping bag. It's a 2 layer bag allowing you to sleep under the top layer in summer and the bottom layer in autum/winter. I got fed up with having to keep zipping the winter layer on and off twice a year. And I got caught out a few times when I could have done with a warmer bag. This way if the weather becomes too hot/cold I can decide which layer to sleep under. Not sure they make them any more but they do one called Layers which may be the same thing.

Trakker 365 was all I could find.... weighs nearly as much as my bedchair!

Honestly, go with that. I've gone through so many bags over the years, and by far the best is the Trakker. It's a very versatile bag plus it's actually got decent zips.
A rule of thumb: Snugpak are not worth looking at due to their dire zips. Every single one of their bags is garbage down to Snugpaks' poor zip choice.

Never owned the snugpak bag but used snugpak clothing for around 30 years and ive never had an issue with any of there zips.

Nash 4 season bag about 60 quid
Jrc Defender 3 season same sort of price I have one of these and it's great with a cover on
Gardner do a 3 season crash bag that doesn't attach at the bottom

Gardener duvet compact takes some beating can be used all season, or inner is easily removed for summer, perfect size and not too heavy

Ive got the plus version Mark as it was the only one that would fit my wide solar bed and its been spot on, very bulky mind. Very reasonably priced as well like all gardner gear.

I got to admit this would be my choice if weight wasn't a problem it is a very good bag, unfortunately though it weighs a lot I swapped over to a fox r2 sleeping bag recently and it's really good, I did buy the thermal cover for it aswell but only needed to use it once this year the rest of the time the bag on it's own has done me down to minus conditions

I can't remember the last time I zipped a bag up. I prefer to just drape it over me, if it's a bit cold I tuck the edge under my body, this has the efect of making the bag smaller and therefore marginally warmer.

Hi Stuart.
The compact fits my trakker levelite perfectly, if you want to see a proper bulky bag try the Fox Ventec 5 season its massive and very heavy
