If you bought something 1st thing Thursday morning and the postage was £6.99 ( item £11) when would you have expected the item to arrive
Me thinking next day and not happy it never arrived today
The cost did put me off but I wanted the item

No it didn't but for £6.99 I would expect next day. As said the postage cost was putting me off but needed the item

Unless it says next day delivery
ordinarily it probably would be but the way everything is so funked up I would never expect anything next day any more unless I went and got it myself

It also depends on the weight/ size of the parcel, who is sending it and what service they use.

I just paid 11.53 for something from abroad,ordered 6pm Thursday and arrived Monday morning 10am.I know another forum member ordered the same items,they came the next day,so for 6.99 I would expect next day

Once ordered a generator for my Coleman cooker from a place up in Scotland. Ordered it at 10pm Thursday night and they were knocking on my door 8.30 next morning. Not got a feckin clue how that was.

Ignore the “I can't catch carp” guy if you click on his profile there is no angler in social media with the name,just a troll.
With regards to postage I think it's mostly couriers at fault, ive sent stuff “guaranteed” next day and it's taken 3 days, albeit the customer got a refund on the postage, still shouldn't Happen.
I bought some stuff about 4am on Thursday with a guaranteed next day, so given it's the whole working day you'd expect it to be sent out, still not delivered now. Paid an extra fiver for the next day but to be fair this company ( total fishing tackle ) do refund what's owed, albeit I had to wait a week for a triple figure refund which was irritating.
If they've just put “standard delivery” then usually that's the second band with couriers which is between 2/4 working days, I'd probably expect in Monday or Tuesday? Unless it's Hermes then I just wouldn't expect it at all 😂
