What's the most rigid way of doing this please.
When I've done this before in say 2ft to 3ft of water, I've had my buzz bars sat in a single long bank stick front and back but without the ability to fix it rigid with a stabiliser, the buzz bar twists if I get a take sometimes, causing all three rods to go off. Would I be better fixing adapters to make a goal post set up front and back or am I missing a trick of getting a stabiliser positioned 3ft down a bank stick to push it into the lake bed.
I bet there's a simple trick I'm missing here, so please enlighten me.

Firstly I'm no tackle tart, and would fish exactly like you do.. I would just Loosen the clutch of the reel slightly.
Then adjust the set up afterwards

Goal post front and back, easy enough if pushing into the margins so why have the rod support all wishy washy.

People may say they are stupid and serve no purpose but narrower buzz bars will help.
But more narrow your buzz bars, the less they will twist. I went from narrow buzz bars to wide ones, and suddenly got this issues you are having.

I don't tend to do this much, only when the bank is flooded or I can't get down a left or right hand side margin etc, but a simple and effective way for me has always been to use two storm poles with a pair of matching buzz bars.
Pictured are NGT storm poles with Cygnet bars and Nash butt grips. This has always worked for me

I use Cygnet slimline storm poles when I have rods over the water - always singles, no issue with twist and I like to be able to walk between the rods, so have them a foot apart. I push them in a fair way too, so very stable. I don't care if it doesn't look that trendy, it's functional and that's what really matters. The idiots you see with rods squished together and reel handles folded, beggers belief. Makes me wonder if they actually catch anything fishing like that. Buy hey, as long as they think they look cool

Why does rods close together make someone an idiot?
If you read what I posted down below, narrower buzz bars are more stable than wide ones.
I prefer using single sticks as well, but some really tight swims it's easier to just get 2 sticks in than it is 6.
As for folded handles, it's just preference, if your rods are close together, folding then with a one touch folding handle is the safest thing to do IMO. The rods can be close together, but nothing get in the way. The handle literally just flops back as son as you touch it.

So I had to buy new long bank sticks and spend alot of time in chest waders. It's not everyone s cup of tea.
I tried storm poles but had to buy bank sticks as storm poles came apart when pulling out of the silt.
I ended up using the cygnet bank sticks and am very happy with them.

How much flex do you find with those sticks mate? Reason I'm asking as there's quite a few swims where I have to wade out and set the rods up in the water.
I'll be using long sticks on a Worldwide pod instead of goalpost sylee.

Could be nature's way of telling you people shouldn't be fishing there, or more likely the fishery management aren't doing their job.

There is a bit of flex but not enough to worry me.
The lake in question is read lined and we are not allowed to build any swims by the lake owner. In fact some swims where you bivvy up you can only just see the lake. It's not everyone s cup of tea that's for sure.
