Is there much difference between the 2.
Tackle box's own or the free sprint E class spod. Looking at both in 12ft. Although possible 13ft as the new lake is 65acres so will require some long range work.
Only using 12ft 3.75 longbow x45s so don't really need anything that will outcast these. Rather be able to fish both at a similar range.
I seem to max out a single bait at 125-130 yards.

Being a tart if I had those rods it would be the longbow x45 spod/marker but it will also be the one I buy to use with my esp rods if I need to spod/spomb in future.

Carl do you mean ...CFX,and not Ctx...as I myself have inadvertently confused the two...ie one is TB,the other FS..

Agh I see. Yes the tackle box version. Only just realised as there pretty much identical.
And yes goose reviews on the x45 spod is brilliant just not sure if It's worth the extra over the other 2.

I used to have the eclass gold long range spod rod and that was a beast of a rod. The eclass blank is an excellent blank. Never used to other two so cant comment on them but you wont go wrong with the eclass.
The Tackle Box CFX spod rod won best in test in a few magazine reviews. With their customer service I would be looking at that rod.

I have owned the CFX for a few years now and find it excellent. Distance wise, I would think that 125/130 yards is achievable but it would be down to your casting technique.
I find it best with a medium spomb but still OK with the large one.

I can hit the distance with my current set up but it's a heavy old chub RS Rod. Just want a decent rod in that price range to make life a little easier

I have got The Tacklebox spod rod black edition in 12ft and love it.I can put the midi spomb 120 yards easy enough.It is a lovely rod to use and just seems so easy to be accurate with too,I highly recommend it

I've got the Tacklebox CFX 13 foot spod rod and it's a fantastic bit of kit. You won't go wrong with this.

I loved the blank of the CFX Spod, and it was really well built, but the handle was way too short for me.
