Anybody use the Nash bed buddy? Does it ruin the padded edge of the bedchair that it's sitting on? I've ruined the padded edge of my bed just by sitting on it in the bivvy. I was wondering if a bed buddy would help when I replace it. Modern beds have so much more padding than they used to.

Have you looked at the Tacklebox, 'guesti seat' this might be of interest and only £20,

I use mine on the deck and on bedchair,sideways,folds up very small,fits inside bedchair too.

Used my nash bed buddy for a few years, never had any issue of rubbing

Crap.
The back rest was always collapsing due to the side straps slipping.

as no one has said that the use of these bed buddies affects the foam lining/padding on the edge of the bed... it must be ok?.

Ive had the nash one for a couple of seasons, havent noticed any damage to my bedchair. But i also dont abuse my kit so that may make a difference

I try and keep everything tight and minimal,it's got to have duel usage..

That guesti ,does that,I now use it on a tarp to keep the base clean,earlier I sat on it for ages float fishing,then picked it up setting it on my shoulder so easy to carry,fancied another spot,two banksticks in the back pocket landing net,'reception mat'and away you go brilliant ,£20 ,I also rate a Helinox chair one ,this means you don't need to sit on your bedchair at all,as it butt's up against the bedchair proper snug like..and so ,so light,...Nice day ,sit outside ,nice night watch the stars,dream of quiet lakes,and how things once were,not so long ago..

Also I use a multimat foam bushcraft kneeling ,or firefighting pad,this stays inside the guesti chair ,..

Gusti can be used as a porterlight chair ,and folds in barrow bag..

Can't speak for the Nash one but having just looked at a picture of it my two cents are.....

For me the best bed chair buddy I have used is the original 'Daiwa Mission' one, also sold as the 'TFG Chill Out'. The recline angle can be quickly adjusted (Nash one looks like you have to faff with straps) and it sits across the bed chair properly, folds completely flat and weighs very little.

I also have the Trakker Transformer and to be honest it's a pain in the arse. Unless you are in a perfectly flat swim where you don't have to raise the forward facing legs of the bed chair the feet never reach the floor and it's horrendously uncomfortable as you feel the edge of the bed chair through it, plus you can't adjust the recline angle.

Unfortunately neither the Daiwa or the TFG are available anymore. Having sold one years ago then regretting it I did manage get one off someone on here and much prefer it to anything else. Worth having a look on eBay etc to see if any are knocking about.

I've got one of these (not the Tackke Box one but basically the same) and it's great. I use it on the bedchair and fir more or less everything else. I find it's easier cooking and rig typing on the floor. Recommend

Had a Nash Wideboy buddy for France - it was heavy and a bit saggy after a weeks use. I've currently got an ageing Daiwa Mission and a Trakker Transformer . . .for longer sessions prefer the Trakker as it doubles as a decent day chair and you can slouch with your neck supported . . for overnighters the mission is a great bit of kit - weighs nothing and you can stow folded in your bed chair
