Is anyone using either the Cygnet or Ridgemonkey marker poles and have any feedback please ?
They both make a considerable saving over the Atrotube marker however, I have a dislike of Ridgemonkey as a brand in general but, have to consider it if it is indeed any good.

There is a thread on here which shows how to build your own if thats any help...
We followed the instructions and built our.own for our france trip earlier this year...worked a treat 🙂...and easy to extend if fishing in deeper areas...hope.that helps, and it's very cheap to do...
My mate has the cygnet one, weight fell off at one point and I think the remote light stopped working later in our week as well.

Problem is that Fox set the standard with their Halo's at around £175 each, and by now I've started thinking Cygnet and RM make cheap marker poles
Thing is they don't. What do you need a carry case or a remote control for? It drives up the price yet only takes up space, draws attention and costs a ****load of batteries. Lot of money for something destined to end up broken in the back of your car or at the bottom of the lake.

Don't know what shipping would like but THESE are reasonably priced, as per usual UK tackle brands like to pull your pants down.

years ago I contacted Daniel Chanselme from Atropa in France and bought mine directly from him a really nice guy
he did me a great deal with poles and at the time the newly released automatic lights but sadly since Brexit its a bstd importing anything these days
but if your on a French trip maybe worth seeing if you can get a deal while out there

I bought a Cygnet marker pole through Hull Angling Centre via Amazon in August , having trawled endlessly through the options available (which are very limited). I considered making one myself, but I'm manually retarded and thought better of it.
The Cynet marker pole does all it was designed to do.......except......the attachment cord that holds the lead weight in place slipped through the end connector the first time of using and I lost the lead weight to the bottom of the lake. I was extremely unimpressed!
This is a serious design flaw and, after much stress, I returned the item to HAC and got a refund (this doesn't do justice to how hard that process was).
However, if you tie more knots in the attachment cord, this should fix the design fault and leave you with a perfectly serviceable marker pole. I particularly liked the light sensitive tip which comes on automatically on dusk. Plenty bright enough to see clearly at range.
So, whilst my experience of the pole is marred by the cord attachment, if you fix this, the pole does a fine job.
