Hi guys, looking for some advice on buying some 2.75 tc rods, need to have a nice playing action and have 40mm ringing, got around £250 to spend on a pair, is there anything out there you would recommend or look at second hand ? They are just to use over winter on some smaller lakes I'm fishing.

Daiwa Infinity X, secondhand. £200 should see a nice pair.

I'd put a few more quid in and get these..(or possibly second hand)

Been using 2.75's all autumn, lovely rods with a pretty decent action. 3 cost me a little over £400 so close to your budget and include lifetime warranty.

I've had a set of infinity x in 3.5 and the IAMT in 3.25, absolutely loved them, been looking for some 2.75 infinities for ages but none coming up.

Probably the best 2.75 rods you can get are the free spirit es and you should be able to pick a pair of them up for £250 second hand.

if you could find some Century NG`s 2.75lb would tick all your boxes Awesome rods

Free spirit ES a will fit the bill perfectly by far my favourite Rod to use for anything up to 80 yards

They have stood the test of time the es Rob, wish i had kept mine. Ive got some 2.5 century stealth graphenes now which i absolutely love but still unsure on the alps reel seats. 2.5 tc has to be my favourite tc of them all, proper fishing rods mate.

I think AJM will have meant secondhand, though I only paid £130 each for mine, new.

You will get them second hand for that.
