My son is dying to do a nights fishing with me tomorrow night but don't want to go too far from home incase he changes his mind looking for somewhere with a good chance of a bite or too

Completely forgot about this lake nick ended up booking on damsel lake at manor farm last night for today hopefully get a carp or 2 tonight going to grab a float rod and some maggots too. Cheers for the suggestions though Lads I'll check out the ones in Welwyn aswel not heard of them before

Maybe next time the banjo lake at stansted abbots it's a lee valley parks water now. Think they have to stock pond as well, used to have the reserve lake which was created when they built the A414. I bet there are still some good carp in that lake (now a nature reserve)

Doubt there are any carp in the nature reserve now only a couple left after the floods 20 years ago and I believe stock and banjo are now syndicated

Yes I remember the flood happened just after they stopped the fishing on their and some of the carp were left to perish out of water when the water levels receded. 😕
There used to be a sought after black mirror in there.
When they built the hides the writing was clearly on the wall.
Around that time they were also worried about loosing fishing rights all together / some swims on abbots due to the bittern population.
Yes just done some searching you are right syndicated.
It was a very cheap ticket for all the lakes 25+ years ago
