Where is the best/cheapest place to pick up these currently? Packs of 6 about £25 on Amazon inc delivery.

I usually get mine from WOW Camping but they don't seem to be doing them currently.

Why not get an adaptor and use the 220g canisters 12 for £16 on ebay

I'm sure it's been mentioned before on here but what is the adaptor that you would require?

I'm good for canisters for a while (ordered some when I thought I had run out...then found a box full in the garage

these are the ones most people use but as the gas is Butane only in those cans not very good in frosty weather but fine in the warmer times (of course cheaper if you dont mind waiting and get it from china)

I only use butane and have never had a problem in winter but i have the canister in my bivvy.
I can see it could be a problem on day sessions, if mines a bit sluggish first thing in the morning i just hold my hand round it for a few mins thats enough to warm it.

These are what I use:
GoSystems canister, although I get mine from a camping and caravan shop on my way home from work.
The only time I have a problem is when the canister is nearly empty and low on pressure, a quick warm up of a bit of water in a saucepan, then put the canister in the water to boil the kettle or bialetti Moka pot and its back to full burn.
You could just as easily keep the canister in the sleeping bag overnight, but being as I might wake up and have a brew i'm not too keen on having to screw the gas canister back on when half asleep😉
As for holding it to keep warm, that only works if there is no-one around with binos...😖😆😉
