What buzz bar / bank sticks are people using when fishing with large big pits?
Recently bought a set of JAG sticks and buzz bars but when fishing 3 rods they aren't the correct width for my reels.. They are adjustable but even when adjusted they just aren't wide enough.
Interested to hear what you all use when using big pit reels.

Either single sticks or extendable buzz bars. Very few on the market though as people seem to like their rods so tight together either the handles clash with the next reel, or they have them with the handles folded on the rests. For some strange reason people think that looks good

I'm shortly going to buy some buzz bars and banksticks from Interlok. They do a 3 rod adjustable buzz bar @ 455mm which should be OK for any size reel. They meant to very good as well, very robust and reliable.

Custom angling solutions for me - they will make any size you want or you can have a modular set up where the alarms move across the buzz bar and can be set as narrow or wide as you want (depending on how long the bar is you order)

I don't get the trend for having them all so close together. I use a 14” rear and 2ft front buzz bars for a lot of my fishing and that's about tight enough for me

Yeah, me also, just don't get the trend of having your rods really close together on a short buzz bar. If you want a really big buzz bar, Interlok do a 680mm busbar designed for 4 rods, but there's nothing stopping you using it for 3 rods. Practicality over trendiness!!

If you're using 3 rod bars on a single stick, the shorter the bar the less likely it'll twist.
Wider bars are only good for goalpost setups, but is harder to find decent length bars

Having a setup with rods mimicking Elliot Grey's or tying to be all ultra cult is just ridiculous. It's well annoying having all the rods tangle-fu.k up when you get a take. It's just silly.
I like to be able to pick my rods up with the handles clear of each other, hence my four rod setup with 24" bars...nice 👌

Matrix chunky 4 rod extra wide
Need room to work with without bish bashing the other rods.
Tips up in air also gives you some room in front
Other than above go back to singles

Use Interlok bank sticks on the river superb quality and will last forever. Choose them as I wanted black so no reflection, black anodised finish seems very hard wearing.
Really clever anti twist on them as well.

I've been on a 160 acre pit the last few years - often fishing baits at extreme ranges due to parts of the water being out of bounds. I tend to use singles and like to set the rods up in the margin, over the water - I use Matrix Quadra sticks - they don't twist in the gravel and are long enough to push deep into the bottom. Very sturdy set-up and when it gets windy, which on a big and exposed water is quite something - everything stays solid. I also space the rods about one to two feet appart - as opposed to having the rods squeezed together. Makes no sense to me why people do that.

Just measure them so you know what size you need mate. Then you can pick whichever bars you want 👍
