Never used tiger nuts before and don't really know how to prepare so I bought a jar of the dynamite baits prepared tigers. How do I know if they have gone off and they are no good anymore?

When I open the jar they have scummy like stuff on the top and smell abit sour. To me I would say they have passed their best but as I am not experienced using them I don't know 😫

Use the particle prep guide in the bait section, very straightforward 👍

Some people probably have tuber allergies
Bad practice to advise tasting on a public forum 😂
Modern day dilemmas
As already said “taste em”

I'd say bin them. But if your really tight you could wash them of in water and reuse them. Still catch you a Fish or two.

My favourite bait - use them everywhere I can... better to buy dry and prepare yourself - much cheaper and you know they're 100% fish friendly.
I soak them in water for 48 hours, then boil for 45 minutes, then soak for another 24 hours - then freeze down. I prepare them in 5kg batches. When I need some bait, I just take a bag from the freezer and thaw out overnight in a bucket of warm tap water. with some Talin added to it (from AA Baits).
Carp love tigers
