I'm after some wet weather gear, jacket and trousers.
I've been looking at the Korda stuff and was after people's opinions or recommendations.

Everyone I know who has this gear rates it very highly. Even a friend who owns a tackle shop told me it kept him dry for the whole day float fishing in persistent rain. I'll get these myself once my size comes back in stock.

Only ever heard good things about the Fortis wet weather gear. Marine jacket and trousers I think there called. Pricey, but like a lot of things you get what you pay for..

I have the marine coat, bought on another forum members recommendation, probably the best there is, extremely waterproof.

Personally, if I want decent clothes for outdoors etc I go to a company that specializes in outdoor clothes, not a tackle company trying more ways to make you part with your money.

Cant comment on the jacket, but have the trousers and would highly recommend, use them not only for fishing but taking the dog out in the pouring rain and still come back bone dry! They are pricey but these days you get what you pay for

I'm 32-34 waist and have medium, still use the belt to tighten up, but not by much!

Bought both Jacket & Trousers as spares and they've now been promoted primarily due to weight and comfort. The trousers especially are really comfortable and the integrated belt is so much better than ties / having to use an aftermarket belt. The trousers also do have some stretch and they are so light you don't know you're wearing them . . .
The jacket is similarly light which is great but does have 'some' faults . . .its got a long parka tail but no adjustable hem which is vaguely annoying . . .it also doesn't have a hanging loop so you have to hang off the hood clasp. Jacket is also 'slightly' fitted so size up if you want to put a decent puffa on underneath in winter etc . . .

I went in my local tackle shop and tried on both the fortis and the Korda jackets today, they both look brilliant, the Korda is definitely a lot more “fitted” though, I would definitely go a size up with it. I was going to get the fortis but after seeing the Korda and how similar they are I may well go for that!

Thats what happened with me,I could not justify the extra cost.I had the coat in black and use it whilst out and about.Im going to get another for fishing,it's so light I can't tell I'm wearing it.Last week in Devon it rained heavily for well over an hour,I was bone dry.When we got back to our apartment my wife took off her northface coat and her jumper was wet from sweating.The breathability of the Korda coat is brilliant and a couple of shakes and it's bone dry,the water just beads off it

Did you go a size up mate? I'm usually a medium, I tried one on over a polo shirt and didn't seem like there was much room for a hoody too. Think I will go for a large, they didn't have a large in the shop for me to try on unfortunately.
