Hello everyone, new to the forums.
Having been a carp angler for 20+ years, and recently returning the the sport after a hiatus, i'm looking at different boilie companies.
I've always used and been a fan of fishmeals and been an avid Atlantic heat user over the years but also been tempted to try a nut / birdfood based boilie.
I have selected a handfull of baits i'm looking into using consistantly but still havent made my mind up yet.
They are :-
Sticky baits krill ( Late to the party, i know)
Oxford carp baits LTK or GS Crab
ABS Hydra K or Maple cream nut
Trent baits Freshwater shrimp or SAS Squid
Anyone experienced with any of these?
Are any an instant bait or more longer term?
I know there are multiple bait posts on these forums but any help and advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Why are you looking to change from atlantic heat?
All those baits will work. Just stick with one youve caught on before and its one less thing to worry about.

As Sam says why change,if it has caught you fish before stay on it.I changed from sticky baits krill to DNA S7 which is a very good bait I just feel I caught more consistently on krill.Hydra k is a very good bait I use ub baits bobbers (wafters)and have caught some nice fish on them.If you are adamant you fancy a change then for me it would be Trent Baits,I know a few lads on it and do very very well and get top class service

Bottom 3 are better than the krill. I use krill now and again for convenience but the abs hydra k out of that lot would be my take it breaks down quick is soft and a great catcher
Trent baits is also great and heard good things about the oxford crab.
Sticky krill will catch lots of fish but IMO not as good as the others will be

Oxford carp baits are very good, if your after a nut bait they do a very good one which has caught loads of big fish, The LTK is also very good, Joe who runs OCB is a great guy and one I would trust .

Have and still are using some Oxford Carp Baits GS Crab in shelf-life.
Fish & garlic is the main smell, they are soft in texture and dark brown in colour.
I was feeding fish in freezing conditions in January right through till now, it produces a really good feeding response and fish continued to return for it, which is good enough for me.
Am sure any of the baits you've listed will catch if used well.

Bait is like tackle, every now and then you fancy a change. You know what it's like.
I have been sort of leaning towards the GS Crab as in years gone by i have always done well and caught consistantly on crab flavour. I.E, Dynamite baits Monster crab which was a tremendous bait in my opinion, just wish they would produce it again.
Any recommendations outside the few i've picked?

Agreed, top bloke and great bait

If you are already using baitworks and fancy a crab bait, why don't you look at the Royale Marine? It has got low levels of Monster Crab flavouring in it. Taken from their ‘Scent from Hell' pop ups
I also would not hesitate to use ANY of Geoff Bowers bait at ABS. I personally have done really well on both the Hydra K and the Rock Lobster. I am now trying the MC Nut but it is early days.
Both Baitworks and ABS are very reputable companies and I don't think you would go far wrong with either

I'd been using sticky krill changed bait to Oxford MC NUT cannot get a bite on it not even a bream ... got a complete set from them 18 mm frozen pop ups, hard hookers, wafters ...I can't work it out I've done at least 70 hrs on it .. not faulting the product but just can't get a bite which is smashing my confidence just got in from another 20 hr blank I want to stick with it but now wondering other than price of their package deals and so may good reports on it why I changed ...AS the saying goes IF IT AIN'T BROKE DON'T FIX IT...
