What is the best replacement elastic out there lads? I'm also a bit confused about what size to choose from when looking on ebay!? I am replacing the elastic on an ESP Boilie Pult

Have a look on ebay for latex surgical tubing, maybe a different colour but works and no carp tax.

ESP does replacement twin walled elastic........this is the best stuff and is what you should get.

I have owned and used all the catapults mentioned in this thread

and the best I have ever used is an Atomic tackle original the big silver one best for range and not smacking your hand sadly long discontinued but the spare elastics and pouches still available on their website

no question the best pouch for boilies is the Particle Pouch less resistance tried both and get way more distance over the boilie pouch on ANY size baits with the above mention catty

I always used the esp stuff and it has been excellent.
I now use the stuff from ebay (tubular latex) and its spot on.

I'd be having a look on Ebay too as Daz/Baitman mentioned. I have digital calipers so can measure the internal and external bore of the elastic I have (within reason) and it correlated to exercise elastic which is sold in different colours representing different strengths. I ordered some and compared it to what I have, if there is any difference its nominal.
Try and convince me angling firms don't use generic elastics.

I bought a couple of sizes of latex.
The 2 x 5mm for a small pouch and firing single boilies short to medium range, and the 3 x 6mm for a larger scruffy bob pouch and firing 5-6 boilies out at a time.

Id say the 2x5 is the same as the drennan black and the 3x6 is the same as the drennan red.

The Gardner replacement is apparently US surgical elastic they do 2 types

So which one would I order to fit the ESP Boilie Pult? The elastic slides over both the pouch and the catapult frame on either side. I need to work out the diameter in order for the catapult fitting to slip inside and stay firm when firing

I have an esp one too and its like triggers broom
I have used small cable ties on mine just to make sure the elastic doesn't slip

What size elastic replacement did you go for? Did you just use the ESP replacement?
