Just been reading Carp Strikes Back again and a few old articles by the man got me thinking
does anyone remember if Rod had a son ? seiem to recall he did when married to Annie ?
I know he had daughters who you hear about but not much about his early life just interested he was and still is my angling hero

Rod was divorced from his ex wife Sue, with whom he had 2 daughters with and before he died of a heart attack he had met a new partner called Coral. RIP RH.

If my memory is correct,there was a member on here ,young guy,called Adam T,or similar,who worked or did work for korum tackle,I do believe he was with one of Rods grandaughters,or something along those lines..hope that helps..

I wonder if you are thinking about Tim Paisley having a son?
Tim Paisley was a great friend of Rod Hutchinson, and I believe some of his Carpworld editorials talking about Rod Hutchinson interviews may also have mentioned his own son Tim Junior.
Rod Hutchinson, an absolute legend of an angler. His understanding of bait, boilies and particles, and fish themselves was outstanding. He was an angler who caught fish because he enjoyed it, big and small, and was able to split his 'big fish' carping from catching any carp for fun.
I hope that last line makes sense, but his 'Savay' times were big fish, yet his non syndicate weeks he enjoyed catching doubles from other lakes near home.
He also enjoyed Cassien, Rainbow and big fish carping in France.
If he got anything wrong, it was his choice of partners and tackle distributors to promote and sell his tackle and bait.
I met him a few times at a few shows, he always had time to say 'hello', and it was sad to see him gradually go downhill.

I know he was married to Annie she used to go fishing with him in the early days and there are articles in the carp scene mags by her
Used to have the blue one it was a great read with recipes and tackle etc

Rod left sue and ran off with Annie who was Pete Reagan's missus, so possible they had a son
