Looking to get a quiver system to replace my CA trident holdall.
I need to it carry 3 rods although the option of adding a spod/marker rod would be good, a net, sling, banksticks/pod base.
Considering the Thinking Anglers, Speero or ESP. Minimal price difference between the TA (using half sleeves) and Speero (using the tip-tops with reel pouch) however the ESP complete with the hood is substantially cheaper.
None are stocked by anyone near me so can't handle any of the above. Has anyone seen all in the flesh and are able to give me an opinion of the practicality of them and quality?
Are the any others I should consider?

I have a couple of the savay compacts from CA. well built and has the flexibility to carry up to 5 rods (i take 2 for day sessions). Not especially light IMO but basically weights what you put into it. Good on space, versatility, protection and design. not so good on price or comfort for carrying IMO.
I have a CA trident and its definitely a better all round product to my mind.

quivers with tip tops and reel pouches are a bit of a faff tbh.... ive had the TA quiver and then won a Speero compact quiver, which is very well made and thought out. Id have a look at the 3/4 lightweight sleeves (ESP / AQUA) as this is a good compromise between weight and protection & work well with a minimal quiver.
Depends how much other stuff you carry in a quiver.... i usually stick a retainer, throwing stick & distance sticks in with my bivvy and then just strap rods & net together, doing away with quiver altogether.

Ta one is very good speero good quality but poor design imho
I can't understand why speero haven't made a three rod sleeve 10 ft considering how popular 10 fts are then you don't have to buy and faff around with tip tops a sleeves or reel pouches

. . .agree quivers are a faff . . .unless you truly do not care about your reels bashing about and the tips getting dinged then they are doable - however think double or triple sleeves are a better option (eg. Aqua / Tracker padded rood sleeves). Obvs you can add full single sleeves / tip tops / reel protectors to a quiver but by the time you've done this etc . . .

I have an old fosters quiver that allows me to use 4 rods in sleeves along with brolly or stripped down TItan T1 nets throwing stick and bank sticks. It's must be 20 plus years old and I've been on the look out for a replacement as it's getting tired however I can't fit one that does the same job so I'll have to get one custom made. I like mine as I can easily swap between my two sets of rods easily. Plenty of protection with a full length single rod pouch etc.
I see that a quiver with full sleeves would be a faff but tjoight the TA with 3/4 sleeves would be easy - release the clip and whip the sleeve off?

I have the TA with 3/4 sleeves, and it's easy, no faff at all, a lot easier than reel pouches and tip tops, no Velcro catching etc, rings all nice and protected and not clattering against each other whilst rattling away on the barrow or in the car... Can't see a system that would be any easier providing the same protection and as light or I'd have bought one 😂...
Just remember to pop a bit of rubber corn or something on your hookpoint when stowed in a sleeve, as getting the hook snagged really does make it a faff 😝..

I also have the TA quiver, love it. I have my sonik xtractors in it, sling, net and handle, throwing stick and storm poles. Before that I had a Nash 3 rod connect, I've never looked back from having rod hold alls, far too bulky. I've always used cheaper rods and reels and treat them like tools and not coddled them.

I've had several quivers with sleeves and the last was a Trakker NXG with 3/4 sleeves . . . main compartment did take the Ultralite and I could strap 5x rods to it but it was still a faff . . .
Swopped it for an NXG 3 Rod sleeve which is arguably not a 'full' rod bag. . .main rods go straight in, utilities strapped to the outside . . .lighter, quicker, easier
Only benefit to a quiver IMO is stowing it as its less bulky . . .

There is no benifit of a quiver once you start adding sleeves for individual rods. Just an expensive faf.

Agree with that, I remember my mate spending a fortune on an aqua thing, used to take ages strapping pouches on, sliding sleeves on then a hood... Must have weighed double and took twice as long to load/unload than a triple sleeve.
Mind you the same bloke bought a tempest bivvy because it's light and quick, but always has the scull cap, groundsheet an both fronts with him, plus a heavy duty bag for it
