Having just moved again.
Ive come across a mountain of different bags of boilies
all shelf life that ive bought and only partially used
I swear theres got to be 15/20Kg in all
Some of these bags date back as far as 2012 and are rock hard
Does any one know if i can get these back into a usable state?
would putting them in glugs bring them back or would they just collapse into a mush
If they can be used i will be giving them too a couple of young lads that live not too far away and love their fishing

Could you try and soak them in bottled water with some flavours in the water,try a small amount in a bucket and see if they absorb the water.

I did try some in a pot and the just went to mush after a couple of hours
I was wondering about a glug or something like treacle and leave them for a few weeks or so if that would work or Vegetable glycerin with a flavouring of some sort

Just grind them up and Chuck them in

All mine get ground down for stick mixes and blended in with other things.
If there that hard. In my experience there not in too much of a usable state. I just dont think carp like anything that's too hard or not to much of it anyway. Probably best ground up as people have already mentioned.

I was going to say blend them up but you did mention giving them away to some young lads maybe you could blend them up and use the powder with a glut and fish a stick mix

Bin. I dont think the owner of whatever lake you chose to use them in will thank you for chucking them in. Likely to remain uneaten and just sit and rot on the bottom

They will be fine ground up and put in a good particle mix, let's face it carp are not fussy eaters at all, it's only us humans that make all the fuss, all carp want to do is eat and breed, just like the rest of nature.
Very hard hookbaits can be very good, as the carp has to take the bait right back to crush it, i've never seen a soft tiger nut, no matter how long it's boiled. One of the best hookbaits in waters that have a major problem wiith crayfish is wooden (mahogany) balls soaked for months in your chosen liquids.

Be fine. Soak them in left over water from your particles, and Chuck them in the river.
