Hi guys is there any users of E.C.U alarms on here? Im tempted to buy a set but looking for reviews, And which ones do you / your mates own? is the any difference between the r+compact and the super+compact?

My son uses them,and loves the simplicity of them..
They are all called super compact,regardless of the individual product,so this can cause confusion..
If I didn't have txi,these would be my choice..some people say the receiver is poor,that is not what we have found as it works all around our two and half acre lake with trees and other obstacles in the way ..
All I can say is they are good,individualistic and reliable,bearing in mind i/we fish in harsh wet winter conditions sometimes..

I believe the supers eat normal batteries for fun, was told to use decent lithium batteries in them.

I have the original mk1 compacts
Bought them secondhand use the batteries on scotts website and had no battery issues last year whatsover
Only thing i did was swap out the wheels for white versions
Plenty of tone volume and sensitivity options imo and range with reciever is also fine for my needs

I had some they were good and simple roller wheel alarms. The battery life was fine not much different to all the others, the range on the reciever was pretty short, i had the mk1 compacts the first ones i believe.

Had original optonics for many a year, don't miss them having used delks for 25 years. A friend sold his delks bought them and went back to delks soon after.

I have mine 3 years now,Mk1s first version..Faultless in all conditions for me.Never had any battery issues either.
A bit different looking than others and you'll get plenty of "never see those before" comments.
One of those rare things I'd buy again if I had to.

A mate of mine had a set, in fact he just chopped them in for some delkims.. He had them for a good few years, not saying the battery life was poor, but he's had about 3 pp3's off me in the past as his had failed. Only complaint I know of, as I was always doing it, is/was the reset button on the remote, he'd give it to me to watch his rods, I'd put it in a pocket and inadvertently reset the remote to the rods!!
Personally I never really like the looks of them, too many small buttons etc but each to their own

Had my mk1s now for over two years, battery usage isn't a problem although I do use Marks batteries, had an issue with on on off switch a couple of months ago, gave Mark a quick call, he answered, I sent it back, all sorted within a week! Out of warranty too, can't beat that for customer service.
I'm more than happy with them.

Have to say I loved the alarms but also found the tore through batteries.
