I've got one bought it for a trip to Spain to lure fish on the Ebro (as you can fit them in your suitcase - so the rods get maximum protection when on the plane- though the problem was the blank was just a bit too soft, perhaps this is the challenge of a rod that breaks down to nothing fortunately I took some other rods so was ok.
That said they are really well constructed and if you are looking for something with the smallest pack size these are right up there.
There is a lot of choice out there when it comes to travel rods.

Jason,would you say it would be suitable for fishing small rivers with quiver attatched, and what version did you use on your trip..
The owner of Rigged and Ready has told me to go for the x5 max,the version in the straight carry tube,as I have reels already..
It needs to fit in a Bergen,or on my handlebars,..

So mines the x5 it comes with the three quiver tips yep it's fine for small rivers I used it quite a bit for perch fishing, be it on the float or a small lead. (Fish to 3lb)
For Spain on the Ebro this was purely a lure fishing trip chucking lures on a small 2 man motor boat - the idea was to use it for light lures for heavier lures I took a savage gear multi purpose predator 2 rod which was great.
The x5 was just too soft for my liking on light lures, I just felt it lacked feel.

My John Wilson Avon 11ft 5 piece travel rods have stood the test of time - NGT do a travel case (about 2ft long max) that takes them perfectly with reel(s) and terminal etc . . .mullet on the float and light sea fishing with lures off the rocks they are perfect . .

Thats interesting,as I also have the Rovex JW,Avon quiver travel,its my fave rod in some ways..I didn't know the NGT bag you mention fits the rod broken down good info..
BTW,I'm looking for smaller pack size,as I'm off 'outthere'and it needs to fit in my Bergen,or on my handlebars if tarping ..
