As mentioned on another recent thread, I have just purchased a third rod and reel so need to get additional rod support for the third rod.
Rather than getting buzz bars to go with my stainless set up, I am now contemplating a pod to use for boards etc
Has anyone used the Cygnet compact pod or anything at a similar price bracket? Not interested in spending much over £100 really as 80% of my fishing will be with 2 rods
Edit: how do three rods fit on one of the compact style pods?

Think the decent makes of pod will all do the job. I've got a Fox Stalker + which is absolutely fine and comes with a 2 rod and 3 rod buzbar. But like I say, all decent manufacturers pods will do the job, it just depends on what design floats your boat. I'm sure the Cygnet one will be fine.

On some reels the handles will fold in, thus enabling you to fit three rods and also two rods very close together on a compact pod like the one you mention

If you're going two plus one on boards,or platforms,maybe look at a pair of stage stands,they screw easily into wood..
So a pair of rids on pod of your choice,the third on stage stands,works really well,and you are not limited with middle rod anxiety lol..
Plus,you will fish better,as you control the line angles to your advantage.

Hi mate
I use the cygnet compact with three rods because I bought the narrowed 3 rod bars they are a bit close together but if you get thee wider bars you should be fine
Make sure you buy the goal post bars if you are purchasing it all sepatetlyr

I had the cygnet pod but returned it after 1st use because it fell apart. One of the ends which the stick goes into pulled off! It looked like they where inly glued in. Got a refund, didnt fancy a replacement after that.
